Mats and Marguerite have been together for 38 years but are increasingly living separate lives after their children moved out. 

Their children Astrid and Adam have always acted as mediators in their relationship, but they are now starting to worry that their actions don’t change anything anymmore. That their parents won't be able to be happy. Astrid therefore decides to create a movie dedicated to them in the hope that the movie can bring them together. A final attempt at mediation.

One day, the house starts to crack and the peaceful everyday life turns into a place of change. A child's desire for their parents' reunion takes over, hoping to show what the relationship could be.
